L.A vocalist and composer Julianna Barwick has joined forces with sleepy songwriter Helado Negro as Ombre. It's a collaboration that makes a lot of sense to us; Barwick's spacious compositions and Helado Negro's tranquil and heart-felt style will surely combine for something gorgeous. And here we have it, their first single 'Noche Brilla Pt. 1', lifted from the forthcoming album Believe You Me. Opening the track, Helado Negro's guitar and Jacob Wick's trumpet resonate as serenely as the clouds move in the accompanying video. The music spans vast like the sky, patiently expanding and swelling. Julianna Barwick mimics the high tones of the trumpet, her voice remodelled as a wind-instrument. Ombre's 'Noche Brilla Pt. 1' is a very hopeful start to an intriguing new project. -Ellie Rose-Davies
